Can You Write a Six Word Memoir About Mom? Try It.
“She never met who I became.” - Pat LaForge. Can six small words sum up a lifetime? Everyone has a story…what is your mom’s story? In honor of Mother’s Day, The New York Times has partnered with Smith magazine in a contest that honors moms and motherhood. Can you write a six word “momoir”? (Of note, the concept is based on one of my absolute favorite books of all time: Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure.)
