Cheers to fall! Or, not? Despite the balmy temps on this first day of autumn, everyone seems to be lamenting the end of summer and the beginning of “leaving-for-work-in-the-dark-and-getting-home-in-the-dark.” New York weather is back to the high 70s but we had a taste of you, Mr. Fall, with a dip to 50-degree temperatures last week. Sweaters and boots and gloves, Oh my!
People understand that this happens every year, Mr. Fall, but the reaction is always the same. As your PR person, I need to admit something. I already miss walking the beach at Shinnecock Inlet on Dune Road and watching sunset in Montauk. Alas, as a seasonal client I believe in your product and must do some PR for you. Without it, people may just sit inside watching the new fall TV season. Who needs all of that Grey’s Anatomy when there’s a fall world out there to explore?
